Little Paper Planes at The Headlands Center for the Arts This Sunday!

Building on Headlands’ 30th Birthday festivities in Fall 2012, this Fall Open House is once again set in the Parade Ground. Visit with artists in their studios and attend performances and readings, then head outside to partake in hands-on activities for all ages, peruse finely-crafted wares at local artisan pop-up shops, and see the landscape through new eyes on artist-led hikes. The Mess Hall will be dishing out picnic-ready lunches, so bring your blanket or borrow one of ours, and be prepared for an art-filled day in the park.

Along with Foggy Notion, Gravel and Gold, The Headlands Shop, & Low Tide Club, Little Paper Planes will have a pop up shop during the Open House!

At the Headlands’ Fall Open House, Little Paper Planes will have a have a table showcasing a selection of products from our shop on Valencia Street in San Francisco including print editions and publications produced by LPP, along with accessories made by Kindah Khalidy and sculptures made by Sarah Hotchkiss . In partnership with Arch Drafting, Graphic and Art Supplies, LPP will have a a station for the public to make their own tote bag. (supplied by Arch) LPP will also have paper and drawing/painting supplies for the public to create their own pages for a booklet LPP will produce to document the day. Alongside, artists, Collin McKelvey and John Davis will be working with public on field recordings which will be turned into a tape to go with the booklet. The book and tape will be released early 2014 and will credit all the participants.

It is this Sunday from 12-5! We hope to see you there!
