Shining Editions

There's a new small-run artist book publisher called Shining Editions in this world, and it's run by Marie Blanchard out of France. Her first project features her own psychedelic drawings (below). Tiny outfits such as this are all the more interesting to me now that Little Paper Planes has also joined the ranks of those that love facilitating the cranking-out of quality pocket-sized publications. Marie also makes Shining Magazine exist. Each online issue is a digital sheet of images of work by 7 invited artists. It's sort of like an art show that makes no obvious sense, but the variety in this case is pretty catchy. I also like how the only information accompanying the shown works are the artist's name, DOB, and location. I'm finally coming 'round to simplicity.
