
So the image has nothing to do with the post except I wanted to have some image to look at, and since I love Jules De Balincourt's paintings, I thought, yeah lets look at his painting.
So two internships in Los Angeles:
First one:
Intern Need for upcoming exhibition for the next 2-4 weeks. extremely varied tasks but the ideal candidate will have sharp, art savy with the ability to use microsoft office. Any design ability would be a huge plus! Second one:
Curatorial intern needed for fresh stART, a one-night art show to benefit therapeutic art programs for at-risk youth. Fresh stART is the annual fundraiser of the McCall Family Foundation, a 501(c)(3) in operation since 2001; the event brings together over 150 emerging artists from across the nation for a 2-hour sale in Santa Monica. Our mission and other information are available at www.freshstartweb.org. The start date is September 1st, 2008 and continues through February, 2009.
Responsibilities include:
1. Administrative tasks such as working with all participating artists to assist with paperwork, contracts, and shipping logisitics.
2. Studio visits with curatorial team.
3. Attendance at curators' meetings when available.
4. Participation at Feb. 7 event and set-up in week prior.
Candidates must be personable, reliable, computer savvy (Mac Excel, Word, Photoshop a plus), art or art history background preferred. School credit for internship is mandatory. Modest stipend to be discussed.
